I had initially chosen Spinny to sell my car based on its reputation for professionalism and customer-centric services, but my experience has been nothing short of traumatic and mentally exhausting.
The problems began 1.5 months ago when Spinny representatives first inspected my car. At that time, no deductions were mentioned, and I proceeded under the assumption that the agreed price would be honored. However, when it came time to schedule the car pickup, I was informed at the last minute that ₹20, 000 would be deducted due to an NOC issued by the RTO.
Despite this sudden change, I acted swiftly to cancel the NOC and hypothecation, fulfilling all the requirements Spinny requested. After completing these steps, I asked them to proceed with the car pickup.
Shockingly, after signing the sale agreement and expecting payment, I received yet another last-minute call from Spinny’s representative, Ms. Pooja, informing me of an additional ₹20, 000 deduction—this time for Parti Paishi. This deduction was never communicated during the past 1.5 months and was not mentioned in the agreement I signed. Even during the call, Ms. Pooja admitted that this oversight was a mistake on Spinny’s part, yet Spinny refused to include any written assurance in the agreement regarding when and under what conditions this amount would be refunded.
This refusal to provide transparency and accountability further compounds the frustration caused by Spinny’s repeated last-minute changes and lack of clear communication.
I am now left questioning:
Why was this information withheld for 1.5 months and not disclosed upfront during the initial inspection?
Why should customers bear the financial and emotional burden of Spinny’s internal lapses?
What guarantees do customers have regarding refund timelines or scenarios where Spinny cannot sell the car for an extended period?
Such practices are completely unacceptable and undermine the trust customers place in Spinny. I sincerely hope Spinny investigates this incident, reviews its processes, and takes corrective actions to ensure other customers do not face similar harassment.
