                                                            I had ordered a Panasonic P11 handset from Indiatimes shopping on 5th Nov 2013( Order ID: 3002794915, Case ID: 1156036) . The product was delivered on 8th Nov 2013( quick delivery) .
The product was defective and I raised a case for refund of my money on same day I got the product( Case ID: 1156036) . Initially I was asked to get a DOA( dead on arrival certificate) from manufacturer. Even after submitting the DOA I am still following up for refund of my money but I am yet to hear back from support team for product pick up. The case resolution date provided( 14th Nov) to me has already passed and I still do not have any resolution.
My concerns are mentioned below:
1) Delivers defective products: If the product is defective why should the customer seek DOA certificate? Other website like Jabong / Flipkart offers a refund even if you change your mind. In case of India times even defective products can’t be returned.
2) Lack of commitment: I had submitted the DOA on 11th Nov 2013 but I still have no update on progress of my case. Which means even the manufacturer has accepted the product that is delivered is defective but India times is not willing to process the refund.
3) Highly irresponsible customer support team: I am calling the customer support regularly to process my refund. Every time I am told they do not have any update of refund process and will call me back.
4) Do not meet timelines provided: They had committed to resolve the case before 14th Nov 2013 when I told them about issues faced on product. The date is well past and still there is no response or any update from India times support team. Worst part is no one is even aware about the status or progress. I had asked for timelines each time I called them and none of the timelines was met. I kept on waiting for the call from India times team
I would recommend all user not to buy product from India times. It is better to pay little premium to Flipkart or likes and have peace of mind of getting non defective products and refund even when you don't like anything about product.
INDIA TIMES DELIVER DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS AND DO NOT PROCESS THE REFUNDS EVEN WHEN MANUFACTURER ACCEPTS THE DEFECT.
