I had booked a bus ticket for my son on Redbus for travel from Bangalore to Hyderabad on a Sri Krishna Travels sleeper bus for a departure at 21.40 on 01 Oct 17. About 30 minutes prior to departure I checked with the bus operator and to my surprise I was told that the bus was cancelled. There was no prior intimation and the person at the helpline was very rude and uncooperative. Since I was not getting any proper reply from the bus operator, I rang up the Redbus helpline and spoke to a person named Junaid. I informed him that there was no prior intimation from the bus operator regarding the cancellation and it was only after I rang up that I was informed that the bus was cancelled and that too just 30 minutes prior to departure. Mr Junaid, without even understanding what the issue was just said that it will take one hour to find out the details. When I informed him that there was only 25 minuted for the departure, he expressed his helplessness and said that he could not do anything. He just was not willing to show any urgency to resolve the issue but instead kept repeating that it will take at least one hour. Since, I was not sure of the cancellation, we went to the pick up point and waited for 45 minutes in heavy downpour and there was no bus.
Redbus, just wiped its hands off the issue since they had already been paid. This site has grown enormously and have now reached a point where they do not do any background checks on bus operators and take fraud operators on board to make money and cheat the public. The public should teach Redbus an appropriate lesson and refrain from doing any business with them.
