So here’s the thing — I’m not usually into dating apps because most conversations start and end with “hey” or just a dry emoji. I joined this one out of boredom, but to be honest, I didn’t expect much. What surprised me was that people here actually seem to want to talk. The chats don’t feel like a checklist. There’s this one guy I matched with who started with a question about travel bucket lists — and we ended up talking for over an hour about everything from places we’d want to go to the worst hostel food experiences.
The conversations feel more human.
And even when things don’t “go somewhere, ” it still feels like you’ve had a real exchange. That’s rare.
Also, I haven’t had to deal with people being creepy, which is a major win.
There’s a certain warmth in the way conversations unfold here.
I can’t explain it, but it feels...less transactional
Maybe it’s just luck, but I’ve had more meaningful chats here in a week than I’ve had on other apps in months.
Some convos die down naturally, and that’s okay too — not everything has to lead to a date.
Sometimes it’s just about someone asking how your day was and actually waiting for the answer.
If nothing else, this app reminded me that chatting with strangers can still be fun — and surprisingly comforting on dull evenings.
