I had an unexpected case where my wife got sudden pain at night when she completed just 30 weeks. I called the doctor whom we were consulting and she asked to take her to hospital near by. We got blessed with premature, underweight baby boy who was struggling to breathe! I was tensed, started crying but as time passed I had belief that baby will be alright. Thanks to the doctor and nurses there in NICU. Nurses in NICU are very caring and well trained.
Doctor explains thing to minute detail so that you know every hour of progress.Finally upon completing 26 days in NICU, baby got discharged with reasonably good weight for a pre-term baby.Worst of all I had joined a startup and deprived of corporate insurance. That cheater insurance company ICICI kept postponing adding the new baby to the point I gave up. So I had to request hospital admin to take care of billing since I don't owe any insurance.
Thankfully they did take care of it and I got everything done with 2.2 lacs which I believe pretty good considering almost a month of NICU and oxygen support etc.
