Bought in August 2006 for Rs.4100
First time using a Nokia phone. I found some of its features below as useful.
Look and feel is good, almost everybody who seen it, has complemented it.
Setting of shortcuts through navigation keys is flexible
Color screen is good, readability is good
Key pad is so good, because as instrument is made sleeker and sleeker, keys tend to become smaller and it would be difficult to avoid pressing a adjacent key. Navigation keys alone require you to use your nails to presns. Just with your finger tips you could press all other keys without pressing adjescant keys
Signal and reception not bad
I am not sure about other models of Nokia phones with regard to the battery. I am more satified with 2610's battery because on an average battery charge lasts for more than 4 days with talking time of one and half an hour. Following are some data on battery charge.....

In the above data, talk time includes both dialled and received calls. The reason for variation in lasting of charge, I hope, may depebe due to the time of making/receiving calls i.e., if you talk after about 3 or 4 days after a full charge, the charge may last for more days. If you make frequent calls within 1st, 2nd day of recharge it may last for more than 4 days which is my case.
On the negative side......
Couple of times it got hung... I am not sure whether it is instrument fault or due to network problem.
Volume through loud speaker could have been somewhat more
Sound recorder not much useful which is reason for its cost of around Rs.4000. Instead, for this same cost, there could have been either FM or infra red feature.
Overall I am satisfied with this model.
