As of now, Naagin Season 2 is already on air in ThaiIand

Channel 3(Channel 33 and 28 on the Thai digital TV) has bought the copyright to broadcast this series since November last year. It is a big success after the Thai TV has been digitalized.
It is the fact that it is 3 times cheaper to bought the foreign series than making domestic drama that gets lower and lower rating.
Channel 3 rating is very poor. Sometimes, they get rating lower than 1.0.
Naagin rating has reached 3.3 from the 1st episode. Surprisingly, Naagin got the same rating as the Thai soap from Channel 7.
At first, it was quite risky(after the previous previous shows were mostly Chinese) for channel 3 to import Indian series. Naagin is the first Indian series they bought the copyright.
However, they made 2 Thai Original Sound Tracks for the series to promote the show.
What Thai people love is the big eyes of the female actresses and the special effects. Some young people do not like it because there are too many episodes and the storyline is quite long.
This year, channel 3 will import 14 more series from India since Naagin has proven very profitable. They made 800 millions Thai baht(20millions Euro) from Naagin alone.
