I'm writing this review again in the same state of mind . This one reminded me a lot of what happened to another good comedy film-DIL PE MAT LE YAAR. And in a way both the films have some similarities too. Both r light heart comedies unlike the over the top Govindasque hamming. Both have very strong scripts with very believable characters speaking very believable dialogues. You must be wondering this must be a great movie i'm talking about....U bet it is. Love ke liye is this years 2nd best film of the year after LAGAAN.
Whats best is director saab E.NIWAS has proved his talent to his critics who wondered if he is a one film wonder. what is most impressive is both his films (SHOOL & LKLKBK) are totally diff films based on totally diff themes. If shool was one powerfull movie about BIHAR then this ones a hilarous ride about some aspects of mumbaiya life. And with this he has proved that he is here to stay. Ram Gopal Verma must be one proud papa.
PLOT:
Saif is a unemployed MBA(again the reality- there r lotsa MBA colleges other than IIMS) normally u'll see in bollywood MBA is used as some superintelligent spieces from IIMS. Sonali is a dumb spoilt kid of a stingy & practical billionaire Dilip Tahil. Her character is FUNNY. Like most of these dumb rich girls who have too much money but no brains to decide what to do she wants to learn everything but the problem is she is egregious at everything she attempts. The movie starts with her painting exhibition where people find it difficult to figure out if its a dog or a donkey. Saif sensing an opportunity hooks her by praising her work & ends up marrying her inspite of her dad. But he is given a cabin in her dads office but no work. He gets frustrated by the shoody treatment his sasur gives him insulting him at every given opprtunity. Now he wants to start his own business but needs the moolah which sasurji has plainly refused to give.
Now Fardeen & Abbas have come to City of dreams a year back 'kaam ki talaash mein' . While Abbas urf harrilal urf Harry gets too busy with the babes of bombay Fardeen is struggling hard to secure a decent job. They stay in a rented room & Fardeen finds his dream girl in his room owners sexy daughter Twinkle. Her dads plans to get her married to someonewith a decent job in a month. So if fardeen wants to save her life he has to get a job within a month. And to get a job he has to bribe a manager 'do laakh rupaye'. So they start thinking of how to get so much money in such a short time. The only obvious solution seems crime. They wait in theparking lot of a 5 star hotel for a crorepati & bump into a frustrated Saif. Saif in turn gets an idea . He gives them a deal to kidnap his wife & divide the ransom 50-50 .
From then on the film is one helluva ride. The kidnapping scene is hillarious. The sene where saif is praticing to cry in front of his sasur is cool. The acting is top class esp Saif & Dilip Tahil. Sonali has given her best performance till date. The karate scene is her best scene ever. Its a must watch film for any Sonali Bendre fan like me.
Now ASLAM BHAI. ... the only abberation from the plot. He is there solely to fill up the requisite 3 hrs of the film. And he does more than that. Aslam Bhai part of the film was hilarous. Johny Lever at his best. The song was also nice. Only song I did not fwd in the movie.
But the best part of the movie was the start. Its was one of the best opening sequence on hindi film .It starts with narration by Paresh Rawal introdusing us to poeple who have nothing to do with the film. It was more like introducing bombay.CREATIVE
Now this movie was given no stars & ridiculed as the worst hindi film ever by Khalid Mohhamed in Times of India. And its not tough to figure out why. Fardeen & abbas keep their fictious bhai names as Khalid Mahhomed & Sultan Ahmed. Yeah it was meant for this Khalid only with all the pun intended. Actually Ram Gopl Verma has got into some fight with Khalid after his review of Pyar To Hona Hi Tha & quite rightly so. After making a crapof a movie like FIZA I dont think Khalid has any right to criticize others. Infact what he did too Love Ke Liye was shocking. Its abusing ones power to the extreme. He gave Aks 3 stars . One can cleary see he has become a integral part of the industry & totally biased. He doesnt wants to rub agaist the industry heavy weights. Its time the largest sselloing newspaper of india stop him from influencing millions of people from his articles. All the people I know who missed Love KE Liye missed it 'coz after reading Khalids review no sane person will go near this one. I went 'coz I had faith in E.NIWAS after his SHOOL.
If its running in theatre watch it. Its a damn good movie. The best comedy of this year. And someone please kill Khalid Mahhamed.
