This is actually a WIRELESS combo of Keyboard and Mouse. Logitech is making quality Input devices for many years. Many of you can actually remember the performance of the then TVS GOLD K/B and TVS Champ K/B, particularly the former was excellent for typing. But gone r those days and now TVS is not making any input devices I guess. But Logitech is there and this particular product from their stable is very very good.
The package comes with a wireless Keyboard, Wireless Mouse and a wireless Receiver which is tiny in size but very powerful. I will tell you all the PROS and CONS of this combo pack-
PROS
*1)** The K/B and Mouse looks nice. Black finishing looks cool on them.
*2)** Build quality is very good. U wont regret purchasing this.
*3)** K/B has separate Num Pad. There are several Multimedia Buttons and also some very useful other functional buttons like Mail, Calculator, Shut Down etc.
*4)** Some of the buttons have metallic tone and looks pretty good on the black background.
*5)** The wireless Receiver is simple Plug&Play thing.insert it in any of the USB ports and it is ready to go.
*5)** The receiver has good range. I could operate my K/B even from 10-12 foot distance.
*6)** The Mouse also works nice with sufficient precision. Right and Left buttons and the Scroll button work smoothly. There is no issue.
*7)** K/B needs 2 AAA batteries and the Mouse works with 1 AA battery. I always used Dura Cell batteries for longer life cycle. Inserting or removing batteries in case of K/B is easy, but it is a little bit tricky for Mouse.
*8)** The pack has reasonable pricing. I bought it in December, 2010 for Rs. 1400/- approx. The price is justified.
CONS
*1)** The main irritating thing is there are no lights for Caps Lock, Num Lock etc.
*2)** K/B needs frequent maintenance, i.e. removal of dust is needed often, otherwise some keys may start giving problems by getting stuck.
*3)** Most unfortunate part is it seems Logitech now has stopped its production, at least in India.
