I have taken LIC jeevan Saral Policy in 2010. I am having half-yearly installments of 25000 Rs. So I am paying 50000 Rs. per year. But now I want to surrender my policy but when I went to LIC office they give me information about my surrender policy value. I was surprised that I was not getting the money which I have invested forget about the profits. So I have to lose substantial amount of money if I surrender it now. LIC officer told me that at least you have to continue till 10 years so that you will get the money you invested. So I have made wrong decision to invest my hard earned money. It is really sad. I will suggest rather investing in LIC you can go for online insurance.
