I've been using the LG T300 phone for a while now and its quite a basic touch screen 2G phone that performs well.
*Pros**:
Sports a 2.4 inch resistive touch screen thats fast enough. And the image quality is good. Texts look smooth and great.
Has java support. You can install java games on it.
Mp3 player does a good job also has equalizer settings.
Video player works well, no buffering or stutter. But you need to convert videos to 320x240
The call reject function comes in handy when you want to keep away pesky calls.
Support for hot pluggable micro sd card, can support upto 4GB
Support for widgets. FM reception is great. 3.5mm stereo jack. Bluetooth with A2DP for listening to wireless stereo music.
Call quality and reception is good.
PC suite is great to sync your phone and pc, manage your contacts and sending sms from your PC or laptop.
*Cons**:
It would be too much to ask from a basic touch screen feature phone. Switching between the widget screen to quick dial screen is sluggish sometimes. The camera is so so, image quality is just about average which is understood from such a small phone.
Bottom line: a good phone for making calls and listening to music. For under 4K
