Kumar Resort is located near the railway tracks. It falls on the way between Khandala and Lonavla. If you get down at Lonavla station Rikshaws usually charge about Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 to reach Kumar Resort or Kumar Heritage. Kumar Resort is centrally located in the Market area. Lots of shops can be seen in near by region.
Unfortunately you don't get many good options to buy anything here. I was searching for a simple toy shop to buy Chess, I couldn't find any. Most of the shops sell only Chiki, Fudge, Farsan and eatables.
Kumar Resort charges about Rs. 7500 for 2 nights stay inclusive of food and taxes. You also get free entry to Water Park if you go for a room at Kumar Resort or Kumar Heritage. Resort has spacious rooms with enoufh of space. There are duplex rooms also available for family.
It takes Rs. 199 for elder to enter the park and children above 3 feet are charged Rs. 149.
You can buy Swimming costumes if you don't have one. They are not of good quality, but answer in the urgent need.
You should also carry sun burn control lotion to protect your skin from direct exposure, since Lonavla is no more cool place. It is quite hot like Mumbai in the day time.
Park has plenty of Water slides to keep you amused. Many swimming pools for Kids and elders. Area for raindance. Restaurant to eat the fast food like burger, Pizza, dosa, pav bhaji. Enough of seating arrangement. You wont feel like going any other place for the day. There is parking, Lockers, Separate changing rooms and shower areas for Gents and Ladies.
There is also arrangement for Business meetings, conferences and marriages.
Interesting part is you get to see huge Sindhi crowd visiting this park may be because owner is Sindhi(Kumar Ailani). People visiting are very co-operative.
Overall it is good experience, but maintainance wise they could have been better.
Some of the tiles are broken, some places there is minor fungus. Some stairs have cuts or incomplete ending. So be prepared for all these. There is no Natural picturesque View here like in Khandala.
There is Amusement part on the back side where you get to see lots of electronic rides for children. Video Games. Simulation games, Bump Car. Gift shop, Beauty Parlor. Full restaurant on zero floor on the road side.
