Dear customers,
Before  purchasing any  water ppurifier whether UV or RO,my request to you is  that you have to live with  the  problems of poor  ''after sales service'' and  whatever  reputed the company and product may it be  it will  work for only around one year or so i.e. warranty period. After the expiry of  warranty period it is certain that  some of the parts will fail and  ''hidden cost'' of AMC will attack your  pocket.
KENT RO water purifier is a similar product of a similar company which also falls into the same  category.
I had purchased a  KENT Grand super  water purifier about 16  months back and  what all  problems  I have  been facing since last 4  months  will be  described  in the  folllowing  Extract:-

This is in  continuation  and  confirmation to  the discussion held between myself and  your  Mr. Ravi  of  NOIDA  office.
After long  pursuasion  and  follow  up  The  technician checked up the  machine on  25.12.05 and  declared  that  the  solenoid  is out of order and  need to  be  replaced.
Another  technician was  sent  on  26,12,05  who declared  that the pump is not properly  working.
In the context of  pump  functioning  I am placing  below  the copy  of  mail  message  sent to you through mail and  also through messenger ( rect. taken )
As may  be  seen from the  enclosed  mail message I had  clearly  raised my doubt about   the  OLD  and  RECONDITIONED  pump as a replacement of  the  original pump (within the Warranty Period) and  the  old and reconditioned  pump has  now  failed  after  about  4  months.
You had  cleverly  skipped  the issue  of  replacement  of  the  original pump with a  new  pump  as  per  the  warranty  clause by  fitting  an  old and  repaired  pump  to  somehow  run the  machine.
Today  the  machine  is not in operation  and  I  am being  told  to  take an AMC (another  clever  step to fool and  cheat  customers) when the  the  machine  will be  set  right.
Anyway today  I am  compelled  to avail the  AMC as  there  is  no  way  to  get  any  after sales  service  otherwise  but  I  feel  hurt and  cheated  which  I wish to  place  on  record to  represent  before  some  forum  in  some proper  and opportune  moment  some  day.
However  please  make  the   RO water purifier   operational  quickly  as  promised by  your  Mr. Ravi  as  this  is  the 5 th day we  are  going  on  buying  mineral  water from  the  market  inspite  of  having  a  KENT  RO  Water Purifier  in  our  house which  is  given  such  a  hype  of  AD in  the  media.

Dear  Sir,
Thanks  for  your  prompt  service of repairing (replacing) the pump after a period of 4 days after  lodging complain and vigorous  chase and follow  up.
However  total jobs  as  per  complain  have  not  been  done  so  far  as:
• The   non operating float  switch  has   been  made operating somehow       after hit and trial.
• The  plastic cover Detached from one corner has  not  been  set right
• Pump  has  been  replaced with  an old and  reconditioned  pump.
The  situation  is  completely  unsatisfactory.
We  would like to place  on  record  by  this mail / letter  dated  11.08.2005 (when Warranty  expiring  on  21.08.2005)  that  the   original  pump  was  replaced  with an  old  and  reconditioned  one  and  the  same  should  be  replaced  with a  proper  one  in  case  this  one  does  not  function at  least  as  a  goodwill    and  sale  promoting  gesture.

Either He has forgotten or not cared to book the complain as  I learnt today at your service centre  that there is no complain. Two days  passed without water, and  now I learnt that the machine will be  attended on Monday.
This is the state of  affairs of  AFTER  SALES SERVICE  of such companies as  that of  yours  who goes on  giving big and promising  ads in media  and  once  the  product is sold  the  customer  is  forgotten. Then the  customer  will have to run from pillar to post to get a little service. Is  anybody in yr company is  responsible  enough  to  hear  such complains or  realise difficulties of the customers or  nobody  knows the ground  reality?
May I request you once again to attend my  KENT water purifier promptly so that I can boast to my neighbours of  having such a costly thing from KENT  giving a good service?

ACTUALLY  I  HAVE  DERIVED MY  MOUTHSHUT.COM  USER  ID  AS  ''poorservice'' ONLY DUE  TO  POOR  AFTER  SALES  SERVICE  PROVIDED BY  THE  COMPANIES  AND THEIR CONSTANT  ENDEAVOUR  TO  LOOT  AND  CHEAT  CUSTOMERS  BY MEDIA  HYPE  AND  LUCRATIVE  LOOKING ADS.
I am quite  indecisive as  to  what  is  to  be  done in such circumstances as  we  can't do  without  these products also.
