Kareem's restaurant is one of my most favorite place where I have eaten. It's been a while like 3 months, I was in Delhi and already heard many positive things about it. Finally, I got there with many expectations and fortunately met with the same. There was a quote on a board by Khushwant Singh, the writer, just behind our table which I quote here "Now I know the secret behind good mood". And trust me, now I also know. The food there is just like that. You will get your mood set.
From Rotis to Kormas, Biryanis. You just name it. I had Tandoori Rotis and they were the softest, crunchiest and carefully precisely made Rotis I ever had. Deliciousness with such nice alluring presentation just makes my mouth water again.
After visiting there I came to know that it was a 100 years old restaurant and catering the same Mughlai authentic food since then.
The ambiance just helps you to try more and more. There was a dish on the menu worth Rs 12000, I don't remember the name, but you had to order it 24 hours earlier. When you enter the street just in front of Jama Masjid and then Kareem's Gali you have Time magazine's front page cover of Kareem's when it was ranked top in Asia along with celebrities' opinions. The place is just worth going.
Customer service is good, you don't have to wait more and if, then you will be informed by the waiter that it's gonna take a while if you order so and so.
The best part is their price. We were four friends and we had 2 Mutton Biryani, 2 Mutton Korma and afghani and Tandoori Rotis. It cost around Rs 1100 total. So it totally suits the money.
