Management should manage themselves first!. Review on K.J. Somaiya College Of Science & Commerce, Vidyavihar, Mumbai

Being a student first and then a faculty with K. J. Somaiya College of Science & Commerce, have come across some harsh behaviours and rude gestures from the management department. Accountants, clerks and non-staff are soldemly available or answer to queries. During collection of fees and admission forms it is quite systematic and everything goes on smoothly. But, in case, someone wants to cancel their admission, the procedure followed for retrieving the original documents is really tiring and tedious. This has led to dissatisfaction in few of my batch mates.

While going through with the curriculum, there have been times when ID cards are not distributed to everyone or just misplaced by the staff. For any degree level, carrying ID cards were very much needed as it was used everywhere right from science practical labs to library.

When working with K. J. Somaiya college of Science & Commerce, the pay up of salary was delayed for temporary lecturers. When asked queries about the late payment, all I got to hear is that the cheque needs to be cleared and will be done so in few days’ time.

Running around the clerks’ office had become a daily agenda for me. Rest everything is proper and perfect. All amenities and facilities provided are up-to-date. Being autonomous, the curriculum has improved but management needs an upgrade.
