"Why Imtiaz why?", this was my first reaction. Socha Na Tha, Jab We Met, Rockstar, Highway, Tamasha. I loved each one of them and more or less everyone did. I am a hardcore Imtiaz Ali fan and that's why more disappointed.

As the title says the movie is a story of Harry, a womanizer tour guide in Europe nearly on the verge of middle life crisis, and Sejal, a shallow privileged Gujarati girl. The story literally revolves around an engagement ring that Harry is helping Sejal to locate which she has lost during her holiday. The first half of the movie is rather entertaining in which we get to see their chemistry with well-written dialogues. But as the movie enters its second half everything starts seeming repetitive and contrived. Some scenes are like unexpectedly bad and random. A scene with Chandan Singh Sanyal in which he plays a Bangladeshi goon is irrelevant and annoying. And scenes of Punjab's Sarso Khets that Harry remembers every time when he remembers his home.

The second half really made me felt like they themselves didn't know the plot and trying to find it.

Performances are extraordinary like every Imtiaz Ali film. Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma both totally support the film and even enhance it but screenplay simply go for a toss in the second half.

Coming to music, most of the tracks are pretty(Radha, Butterfly, Beech Beech Mein), thanks to Pritam, and go with the film but after some time even music seems unbearable with such mess going on the screen.

The visuals are beautiful portraying Prague, Amsterdam, Budapest all beautiful locations but again they are of no use without a good story going on.

I really haven't expected it to be this. The best thing about every Imtiaz Ali film is, no matter what the story is, it looks real and honest portrayal of real life relationships and its complexity. But sadly this time it is not.
