Poor Braking and Suspensions

Appeal:

Two important parameters of any sports bike are brakes and suspensions since they provide stability to this power machine while riding through different road conditions. The brake setup on this Honda CB650R is quite adequate for city riding but the sensitivity and bite was far less than what I expect from a dual 320mm disc with Nissin calipers. The front brake lever feels soft and requires a long pull before you get any real stopping power. Upgrading to braided brake lines might help. Also for a price tag over 9 lakhs, I expected better suspension.

The CB650R comes with a Showa Separate Function Fork, but it isn’t adjustable beyond the rear shock preload. The suspensions feel too light for quick corners or big bumps. I doubt they will adapt to different road conditions in the long run.
