After getting good amount of appreciation by many of Mouthshut users, I would like to come up with one more of my comprehensive review. Writing a review gives me a feel, as if am writing a diary of my life experiences with the human made products. It really feels nice to come home and write reviews on various products, these days people are fooled very easily, its cause people trust anyone and everyone so easily that every person get conned every other day. On an average a common man is being fooled or conned twice a day, mayb by the network service provider, online shopping sites, by colleagues, etc etc..
Writing this review will certainly benefit many of the users on mouthshut, as I will be highlighting a very important aspect in my review. For the people who haven't be able to guess whats my review gonna be on? For them its one of my best online shopping site HOMESHOP18.com..
Nowadays many people get conned by various online shopping website and then remove their frustration on the customer service people, as they are the back end people they dont have any idea whats exactly going on between the customer and their front end but they try their best to sort out the problems. So whenever ur conned just remember one thing that u have been conned and something good will turn out only if you keep ur cool!!
I would surely recommend HOMESHOP18 To any one but WITH CERTAIN GUIDELINES!!!!!
This according to me this one of the best online shopping websites, keeping in mind certain guidelines, il describe every aspect in detail in the following sections.
Going through the mouthshut reviews for this website, a recommendation of 50% and 3 rating..really makes me feel that the customers are missing out on certain guidelines and hence they face problem not only on this site, but many more place.
My experience: Someone stole my NOKIA 6300 while travelling in local train, to add to the agony even my wallet had been pick pocketed. It was really a bad day for me, later that night as I was discussing with my friends about how my wallet and mobile got stolen and my plans for buying another cheap mobile, my friend suggested me this website wherein I can get huge discounts a wide range to choose from. I came home and browsed through their site in order to explore as to which mobile can I buy?
The reason my friend suggested me this website was cause he himself had a good experience with this website as he too ordered a SPICE QT 60 and was satisfied by the service he got and the final product he received. He just kept speaking about the pros of this website, and thats what really impressed me and I made up my mind to order online a mobile phone for me.
I browsed through their entire site and browsed in detail the mobile section in order to find the cheapest dual sim mobile with mp3 facility..To my surprise I found a SPICE QT 60 having the same specification as to what I was looking for..I went to my friend and consulted him as to whether should I buy this deal or not? and his immediate reaction was.. ARRE BINDASS LELE :-D
One of the PROS of this website is that it has an comprehensive website which loads in split of a second( I have an internet connection of 512 Mbps :-P )
With categories from BOOKS TO HEALTH AND BEAUTY..The website was quite user friendly and very informative too..The site had all the details of placing an order, and on sending a text message on the given no. the homeshop18 customer care called back within 24 hours. When I received a call from the customer care I was greeted nicely and my order was placed and I was given a unique no. which would identify my order which had been placed. The deal that I choose was having a 60% off on its original market price..A mobile costing 4999/- was being sold in 1999/- and that was really impressive.
I was all set to order this jam of a dolly, and as being new to the online shopping things I told my friend to helpme out with the order placement and the stuffs to be done after ordering..
The best part about this website is that it has the option of cash on delivery, which is a boon to many customers as chances of getting conned is less. The cash on delivery option does not charge anything more than whats quoted on the website, as other online shopping website does. There were 2 modes of payment ie via credit card/debit card online transactions and the other mode was cash on delivery. My friend suggested me to go for cash on delivery and so did I do the same. The product delivery is for FREE and we dont need to pay any more extra.
Another PROS about this online shopping website is its on time delivery of the product, I had been given a estimation that my product will be delivered in 7 working days ie excluding saturdays and sundays, and it was great to receive the product in just 5 days :-)
The product was well packed and was delivered to me on time, and I got a free card-reader too which I wasnt aware of as my friend dint tell me that the offer had a card-reader which was free..it added to my joy, I payed the exact money and signed on a sheet saying that I got the product delivered. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN ONE THE MISTAKES WHICH COULD HAVE MADE ME SAD. Il briefly explain about this stuffs in the cons..
Another PROS was that much to my surprise I got a call from homeshop18, a week later after my product had being delivered..The lady asked me as to how was the product? am I satisfied with the product or no? As I was satisfied with the product I said a YES and then she disconnected the call and greeting me have a good day..felt all great..i mean what more can u expect in 2k???? A dual sim mobile with camera, mp3, many apps, and a trendy blackberry look alike.
Another thing I would like to mention was that dunno how but this site had deals which were very good..and eye catching, I got a 60% off on the product I bought..and that too a card-reader free adding a cherry on the cake..
Another PROS was that this online shopping site had its own TV channel for people who cant connect to them via web, this was a added advantage for the people who dont know to use computer or internet.
The range of the products were enormous..including books, mobiles, cameras computers, electronics, clothing, jewellery, home-kitchen, appliances, toys, health and beauty etc.
Good customer service before delivering the product, and after delivering the product also their service is good..but many people may disagree to this, but my experience was good.
Cons:
The products not being in stock, I had to go for SPICE QT 60 black body as the white body wasnt there in stock and a few weeks later the white body stock came in..it was a heart breaker for me cause I really wanted a white body SPICE QT 60
Due to shortage of stocks the delivery of products gets affected so many customers face this problem of product not getting delivered in quoted time.
According to my experience i dint find much cons in this online shopping portal, but there are complaints such as:
Delivery of product out of time: I got my product delivered 5 days after my order had been placed, at time there might be a delay cause of product not being in stock, so its a matter of time. Be patient and stay calm. At times people are even made to wait for 2-3 weeks and then homeshop people call up and inform that the product is no more in stock and so the product for which the order has been placed cant be delivered and the order has been cancelled as the product wont be having any more associations with homeshop18 anymore.
