HCL is changing, they started firing like IBM or TechM but slowly. A#$-licking politics started but not in all proj. If you find a good proj (your luck), then you safe. Work culture varies from proj to proj. In terms of job security, it is still better, but changing. "employee first , customer 2nd " is bluff . if you are in HCL , be sure u r in good proj (where u will get like minded people ), otherwise you may get NI ( need improvement ) rating in appraisal , then some time they consider , some time they kick you out
CHENNAI and NOIDA is more safe (in terms of job security). Try to avoid Bangalore location.
They will hire you for "xyz" technology, force you to work other technology (but not for all, your luck ). For that if you need basic training, you have to do it of your own, later they may or may not reimburse the money.
No night shift allowance, increment will be max 10 % . Please do not take up a proj for temp allocation.
