I have always loved Chetan Bhagats novels as they are more Indianish touch and makr the writing easy for even the beginners. Many other movies adapted on his novels have done good but one word that describes the movie is pathetic.
PLOT
The movie has a decent plot and the makers tried to make the movie as same as possible to the novel but the lack of lustre or the way it got made did not interest me a bit.
The draggy scenes, bad cinematography, makes it more worse and there were times when a person would want to get up from the movie and leave mid way.
SONGS
Songs are somewhat good and pleasing to hear as even the promotions of the movie were done with 2 good songs. The songs were well sung and fit the movie scenes and only part thats highlight in the movie.
CASTING
I have been a fan of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor as both have been doing really great in terms of acting, looks and fitting themselves in any kind of role as they are new and fresh to adapt into anything. But in this movie somehow may be due to directors moves or bad story telling made them look stupid or even artificial in many scenes of the movie.
DIRECTOR
Mohit suri has been a great director from the team of Bhatts family and has directed some good movies before this with interesting story telling and in a perfect way to direct. But somehow, there have been places where it did not look like the movie was directed by him as the movie looked vague and non interesting.
Overall the movie's direction, plot and story telling was weak. But the actors and songs and music tried to do justice. But considering the latest standard of how the movies have come up in bollywood in recent times, this movie had no standard.
Chetan Bhagat himself in the production panel did not have any great deal to make it look good and just added an extra nonsense factor with no reason.
Just for a few reasons above that did good, would star 2/5 for this movie and hoping for the mistakes to not repeat in other movies they make.
