Based on the world famous nobel Half Girlfriend the movie doe not bring out the real characters that chetan Bhagat has potrayed in his noevl.The acting of arjun kapor as madhav jha is poorely played he seemed to have done over acting and cannot match up to the real madhav jha as in the novel.I think sushant singh rajput would have been a better choice in terms of the casting.the atory is identical to that of the novel with some masala in it and occasional songs which I think was not really needed at the scenario and also the movie moved its way to a more drmaatic path rather than keeping it simple to the point whaf cheetan bhagat has tried to depict
