Hi guys, I am a student of Gujarat Technical University( GTU) since 4 years and this is my last semester running. I am doing my degree in mechanical engineering from Government engineering college, palanpur. This college is run through the government and associated with GTU.
So first of all the administration process of GTU is simple and efficient as well. When you clear your 12th with good results the Admission Committee for Professional Courses( ACPC) declare the admissions through online process. You have fill the online form and put your details in it, and choose the college and trade of your interest. Then ACPC will allow you a seat as per merit number from your chosen colleges. Once you get admission through this process you will be the student GTU.
GTU take care of many different courses like Bechalor of Engineering, Diploma Engineering, Degree and Diploma Pharmacy, Bechalor in Architecture, MBA, etc.
There are two semester during the year, and there are two examination by GTU winter exam and summer exam. GTU has more than 120 colleges. And every year more than 60000 students pass out in engineering field. The location of the GTU was in ahmedabad but than it is transferred to chandkheda in Vishwakarma college.
There are other universities in Gujarat but the courses and syllabus of the GTU is more compatible with the student. Many Government, granted aid and self finance colleges are running under GTU.
The placement of the GTU is little weak because no company come to your college for giving you the job. But some times there are job fairs are arranged in GTU in different colleges so you could get job through that job fair.
