An amazing place. I have been here on two seperate occassions. Firstly it's a very small town spreaded across the coastal regions. Main attractions are Om beach, kudle beach. There are various shacks present in both Om & Kudle beach. Unluckily both the times, we had to go for resorts as the shacks were filled up with tourists. It's a perfect destination for a 2 day trip just to unwind yourself from the busy city life. If u wish to travel further, say 60 kms, u can land yourself in Murudeshwara, which is also a great place. We stayed in sanskruti resort which was great. If you plan to stay in shacks, you can try for om cafe or namaste cafe, both of which are present in Om beach. To roam around the city, one needs to hire an auto. They charge Rs. 150/trip to anywhere which is quite a bit expensive. There are no share autos available. Food is costly whereas beer is cheap. Anyway it's a great destination & is on par with Goa. Hope this helps!
