We planned our New Year’s vacation in the Maldives and, after making full payment through Goibibo, received confirmation for two hotel bookings at Rosemary Boutique on Maafushi Island(Booking ID: [Booking ID - GH21041229811342]). The first booking was from 30th December to 31st December, and the second booking was from 31st December to 2nd January. Both bookings were confirmed, but upon arrival at the hotel on 30th December 2024, we were informed that the hotel had no record of the second booking(from 31st December to 2nd January) and denied our reservation. Due to it being the peak New Year’s period, all hotels on Maafushi Island were fully booked. As a result, my family, including my 2-year-old child, found ourselves stranded with no available accommodation. We were forced to roam the streets for over 6 hours in search of a place to stay, causing significant distress and anxiety.


I am filing a case in consumer court now for the mental, financial harrasment I have gone through.
