Value for Money:

After years of usage of Gmail I would like share few tips that I like that will help you keep your email account secure and safe and protect it from hackers.

Do's Donts To secure Gmail Account:

  1. Enable 2 step verification so that every time the user logs in Gmails sends an OTP by sms / authenticator app generated code.

To enable two step verification login to gmail.com and open the following url:

https: //accounts.google.com

This will allow you to set two step verification in the links available in the page.

  1. Never setup an auto responder email:

Because every time when you recieve an email gmail automatically sends an automated or predesigned email response to the sender. Hackers can take this as vulnerability and send you frequent emails from different addresses.

They can use the password recovery options and hack your email by providing the most frequent recepients emailadresses.

Disable automated response or away from office automated response. 3. always uncheck trust this computer if you are using a shared / office computer / computer in cyber cafe.

  1. Setup a recovery email adress so that you can recover when you forget a password.

  2. Print and keep recover codes in a safe place. So rhat you can recover your password.

  3. Never send an email to unknown people.

These are the most important tips to keep your contacts and emails secure and safe.
