What are the things that I would want a recharge site to have?
Since, it is a mobile recharge site it should have a mobile website. - Yes, freecharge.in has a mobile version of their website.
Since, this is India therefore, mobile websites(atleast) should load steady even at low speeds. Yes, freecharge.in loads steady even at 8 KBps(64kbps).
The website should have lesser ads. - Atleast the mobile website does not have any ads.
Since, it is a recharge site, obviously the recharges should be successful. - Yes, all
my recharges were successful till now except for one. Though I received the refund within 15 mins.
Recharge sites should accept cards and internet banking of as many banks as possible. - Yes, freecharge.in has a pretty decent collection.
Customer Support - Yes, their customer support is very responsive. I got my reply within 3 to 4 hours.
Coupons - Hello, I came here to recharge my number not to buy free coupons. So, please stop complaining as to whether their coupons worked or not.
Secure transaction - Well, they have a "https" website and the redirection goes through a 128 bit SSL encryption.
The site should do recharges of all the mobile operators - I can see all the major operators there.
Creating account - freecharge.in has an option for signing up with g-mail or facebook so thats not a headache.
Variety - Well, they support dth, mobile. So, thats pretty decent.
App - People refer having an app of their favourite websites. Well, I prefer the browser as I feel more secure.
The website should have a decent layout - Atleast the mobile website is easy to use.
Device detection - freecharge.in flawlessly detects a smartphone and thus, opens the website accordingly.
Detection of operator and circle - It easily detects the operator and circle of non-ported numbers. I don't know if it detects ported numbers.
Reciept - Yes, they e-mail you the reciept of recharge as soon as your recharge is done. Though I would prefer a message to my mobile number. So, here is a negative review.
