Why do we buy a product online?
For me the answer was, why would I buy offline, when I get similar product at better price with feedback of customers who already bought a product.
I have so far purchased many products from Flipkart. Believe me, the initial experiences were pathetic to say the least. They used to sell defective products(esp. Electronic items) or re-furbished items or obsolete models etc and will roll the customer's money until a complaint is raised.
However, things have changed now and surely for good. My last few purchases were fantastic. Not that they do not sell defective products now. But the buy-back experience has been amazingly easy.
I purchased a high quality chinese headphone(do not know what that means!) from flipkart and was quite happy that I ordered 2more(one for my spouse and another for my father-in-law). The second one had the silicon buds missing(usually found inside a tiny opaque box at the bottom of the pack).
I opened flipkart and wanted to leave a feedback and there it was.(like they expected this!) the option which asked me - "Are you unhappy with the product and want to return?"
I clicked yes and the second day a new piece was sent to me. The same courier guy collected the bad item and left without uttering a word.
Now compare this with buying an electronic item from a'real shop'. The sales man will swear on God that the item was all fine when I bought and most probably accuse me of cheating. I have to run back and forth burning pricey fuel, will lose my time and mind.
This one feature is something which I'll credit Flipkart with full marks.
