After signing up for Flexjobs, I realized that they charge a premium to access the full list of jobs. Looking at the quality of the jobs and limited opportunities in my field, the costs make no sense. While I appreciate the vetting process, I couldn’t justify the cost. I could find similar listings on free platforms like Indeed. What bothers me about FlexJobs is that they charge both job seekers and employers. It feels like they are profiting from both sides without providing enough value.
When there are several other job portals that let you apply for jobs by just signing up, Flexjobs must at least ensure that there are enough relevant listings as per my requirements to charge a premium.
