When Croma initially started out in Mumbai, I was impressed by their spacious store layout and product range but not by their prices which were on the steeper side.
However with all the competition from E zone, Vijay Sales and other such stores, Croma has now become very price conscious.Last week I went to Croma off Linking Road to buy a camera for my sister. I had zeroed in on a selection of models. The sales people were very courteous and patient in explaining the features of the respective models. Eventually we settled on an Olympus. The price for this particular model was advertised at Rs1000 less at E Zone but there being no E Zone close by, I had decided to come to Croma. Not expecting any result, I casually told the sales boy that E Zone was offering this camera cheaper. He asked us to wait a few moments. We were pleasantly surprised a short while later when he offered us the camera at the E Zone price.
Even the lady who keeps bags at the entrance was smiling and courteous. We left with a very pleasant and satisfying feeling.I intend buying a DSLR in the future and I will surely be checking this out at Croma.
