Guys please be aware of this site . I tried to book a train ticket on 29-aug-2011, after the payment process I got a blank screen on my computer and within a few seconds I got an SMS to my mobile like " We're sorry that your booking failed(Trip ID 11082912292). We'll process a full refund of Rs.232 within 24hours. - cleartrip.".
upon seeing this SMS I can't wait further becoz of less availability, I booked another ticket on IRCTC site and got confirmed .
After 5 minutes I got mail from cleartrip like
"Booking Failed
Hi XXXXX,
We're very sorry, but we were unable to confirm your Chennai-Salem one-way trip and you have been charged Rs. 232. Please do not panic – We are trying to confirm your booking. If the confirmation does not happen, we will refund the amount you have paid. Please call us in the next 15 minutes to know the latest on your booking. For any assistance please call(7 AM to 10 PM - Indian time): 91 22 4130 0300(standard STD / local charges apply), 800 22 5327(toll free from MTNL/BSNL)."
After 10 minutes I got Ticket confirmation mail from cleartrip. I don't know what they are trying to say . Are they playing some bluff games with the customers . I donno wat to do whether to cancel that ticket or wait for the full refund . I called customer care and logged a complaint regarding my issue. They said they logged a complaint and processing a full refund.
I have contacted customer care many times . but still in process . I can't get a single mail from them about the status. they are very well trained, HOW TO END THE CALL .
This might be a small amount, but you guys please think about booking a flight ticket or any other transaction. i've wasted more than the refund amount on calling customer:) .
