Bhanzu is working closely with MouthShut.com to enhance customer satisfaction.
We had an extremely disappointing experience with Bhanzu, and I strongly caution any parent especially those based in the US or Western countries to avoid this platform.
We were drawn to Bhanzu during a trip to India by the appealing idea of Vedic math and signed up in good faith. However, everything from that point on was misleading, unprofessional, and exploitative:
We were told the tutors would be US-based. That was completely false. The tutor assigned was from India, had a heavy accent, and shockingly even dozed off during class.
The same course costs 23x more for US customers an unjustified and discriminatory pricing model with no added value.
Batch allocation was delayed for weeks, and when it finally came through, they changed the time arbitrarily citing daylight saving changes, despite us clearly stating only 7:30 PM on weekdays would work.
When we couldnt attend the new time slot, they kept marking our child as absent, and then later used that attendance record to deny a refund, claiming we didnt meet the mandatory 80% attendance for classes we were told not to attend while they were supposedly finding us a new batch.
The curriculum does not align with US schooling, making it non-accretive to your childs actual academic needs.
Worse, the teacher would coerce kids into giving her a positive rating at the end of class.
Customer service is a nightmare. Youre bounced from one agent to another support, then relationship manager, then refund manager, all while deliberately delaying and avoiding your refund.
We attempted to cancel not once, but multiple times, only to be stonewalled each time with scripted responses and no accountability.
Parents, this is not a real education platform its a high-pressure sales funnel with no regard for educational outcomes, ethical practices, or customer respect.
Youre far better off using local, proven resources like Kumon, Mathnasium, or Russian Math schools, especially if youre based in the West.
