Beijing Bites, adjacent to SJR Equinox, Electronic City is a favorite destination of many Chinese food lovers. The restaurant is situated on the first floor of the commercial complex. Parking is an issue there, as there are many eateries and a branch of Narayana Dental clinic. The parking is congested, many times we had no option other than parking on the road itself, which is risky. Getting a table is also a big issue there, as the restaurant seems to be packed all the time. But, the food compensates everything.
I was a frequent visitor of Beijing Bites two years back. Both the Koramangala Forum outlet and this one were my favorites. Now the frequency of visiting reduced due to time crunch, also during pregnancy I avoided Chinese food. But a recent take away from this place ignited the desire to visit the place again. Leave that aside, let's discuss about the food here.
Beijing Bites serves the best Manchow soup in Electronic City. Whenever I go, I always order for this. The stir-fried noodles served along with it is just AWESOME! In starter section, I love the crispy honey chili chicken, it tastes very good and goes well with any noodles. They serve good momo too, the filling is of excellent quality and less in garlic, the way I prefer it. The chili garlic noodles I prefer the most, it's on spicy side. I have tried the American Chopsuey and Koithoi(Thai flat noodles)also, those are very tasty here. Somewhat the chopsuey had too much sauce, that's what I found.I love the chili chicken gravy and Chicken Manchurian gravy as side dish. Well, I never explored the dessert section, every time before that only I was too full! Few things not-so-good are the schezwan chicken, I found too much capsicum in that, plus it was very sweet. One more item which didn't suit me was Chili fish. God knows what fish did they use, it smelled just bad. I never dared to try fish again. Next time I am going to try Hunan chicken, let me see how they make it.
Somewhat I found that the price is on higher side. Many local eateries serve better noodles than here with moderate price. I don't appreciate the thickness of the noodles too, I prefer finer noodles, a little bit fried and then sauteed with vegetables or seafood. Sometimes I found the attitude of the waiters are not proper too, a bit carefree and busy talking to each other, may be not much attentive also. Other than this, Beijing Bites is a good place for dining with family and friends. They cater for team lunch or larger group, so that's not an issue. I will give this place a 4 out of 5.
