Auto-CAD is Computer aided design. This is very usefull software in designing. Mainly/basic purpose of this is to avoid paper n pencil work. this very user friendly s/w we just need basic Autocad commands and knowlege tool bar. I am using this to design a cabinet like system cabinet, marshalling cabinet, loop dwgs and system architecture. Auto-CAD used in Civil, Mechanical and Instrumation ( Automation design) . I m working in automation product base company we are using software Autocad for designing pupose. AutoCAD available in 2D and 3D also. We save Auto-CAD drawings in .dwg format. If you know the autocad commands then you can used this anywhere to draw anything. Latest version of Auto-CAD is 2017 Release 31
