We went there in the morning driving almost 75kms from our house for an outing to this place. I have been to this place long before it was the way it is now.
Firstly you have to search for the seats and due to hot weather, you cannot sit outside. So getting a seat is a task here. Once you are done with it, you have the menu which does not have varieties in the category of parathas for which it is famous for. We ordered Paneer Misiya parantha and aloo parantha( tandoori & tawa) and gobi parantha.
The presentation was good but the Paneer Misiya was very harsh in taste. It wasn't as soft or tasty as the aloo parantha and only tandoori one. The tawa aloo parantha is not at all different in taste from your regular parantha waalas. The gobi parantha was ok in taste. The white butter, we actually had to ask them for it as they didn't bring on top of the paranthas.
The chocolate flavour lassi is worth trying as it isnt easily available in markets.
The only thing worth was Kulhad Chai and it was amazing.
But you would not want to drive long way to just have tea and dissappoint yourself on the food for which it is reknowned for.
Ambience was ok and service was timely but not for tawa paranthas as you will have to wait almost 20-25 minutes for that.
If it is for the Kulhad chai, I would say its worth it but when it comes to paranthas, its ok that you have not had it till yet. Nothing special now what it used to be back in the days.
