I got my Vodafone prepaid mobile number ported to Airtel. The application was submitted on 06-Sep-14 at Airtel's Mangal Kunj Gallery, in Borivali(West), Mumbai-400092. The porting was successfully completed on 13-Sep-14, on which day, I learnt from one of Airtel's CSEs(Customer Service Executive) on the number 198 that the actual amount to be paid for prepaid-to-prepaid mobile number porting is only Rs. 19/-, while the lady executive at their above-mentioned gallery took Rs. 30/- in CASH, refused to give any RECEIPT for the same, and also refused to swipe/carry out the transaction using my Credit Card.
Another point to be noted is that, I had also visited the said gallery on 01-Sep-14, and interacted with another of their CSEs, Mr. Manish, who on that day had informed me that the charges for prepaid-to-prepaid mobile number porting were Rs. 25/- and that the porting SIM cards were not available with the gallery on that day.
I ported from Vodafone to Airtel on the hopes of better service. Needless to mention that I found out about the cheating on the very first day of using their service, and I feel completely let down.
