I get very good speeds when surfing the internet or sending mail. Unfortunately I think the cut the speed whenever I watch any youtube or download from torrents. I get a lot of work files from private torrents, I don't download anything illegal but still my net download speed is only around 100 KiloByte per second when it should be about 250 KiloByte per second. My Internet speed is 2MegaBits per second.
I read a lot of stories on Indiabroadband.net about the same being expierenced from Airtel.
Whenever I call up the customer service, they act like they are fools and do not know anything about limiting speed. They tell me to do a speedtest, for which I get 2 mbps correctly, so it is very frustrating. But I never get proper speeds. I am not paying Rs. 1399 of my hard earned cash for nothing. They also charge Rs. 70 or 90'late fee' but I never get my paper bills on time and never get any emails too. They think we are supposed to check every month and send on time.
Its not like I am sitting here waiting to pay my bill, I am very busy man and I expect the bill to be sent to me before the due date. But the customer service are experts at acting like fools.
Unfortunate thing is all ISP are like this only. They think customers are fools and will part with their hard earned cash like idiots. Its time for them to change tactics I am telling you. Otherwise there will be a lot of angry frustrate customers like me.
