*The IMINT Card
This is a card for which you don't have to make payments, no outstanding balance and no delays or late payment is associated with it. This is basically not a credit card, a card through which you can receive reward points.
You can get a good deal over a good accumulation of reward points.
IMINT has got tie-ups with the Airtel for which you get reward points for the monthly post paid bills. It has also got tie-ups with Air India, HP, Lifestyle and Make my trip for which we are supposed to swipe the card at the time of making a payment. I have also been issued this card few months back which I own right now.
Along with the reward benefits, the card has quite some "ifs and buts" as well, and the list is not that small. A few to cite:
- Difficult to link with more than one (which gets automatically connected) Airtel post paid number. It takes a long time and is extremely confusing as well.
Besides, if there is some kind of a default that has happened during the processing, it will take 20 more days to proceed.
*It is clearly mentioned that one can connect upto four number of post paid connections with the IMINT card.*
I have placed one such request in Feb first week and it has not happened as yet.
- *One is not allowed to swipe the IMINT card if you swipe the membership card in Lifestyle**.
It is quite obvious for a person to have the membership card at these branded stores if you visit these regularly or occasionally.
Thus you cannot accumulate points that way.
- *The reward points cannot be transferred from a co-branded ICICI credit card to the IMINT card.
*It is sometimes said that the points accumulated over the ICICI credit cards get doubled on linking an IMINT card to it.
