Recently, the famous Adyar Anand Bhavan has started their restaurant and sweet shop in Vijayawada along with Southern Grand hotel.
It has decent interiors with pleasant atmosphere.But the main drawback is its sky rocketing prices of the items available. the south Indian thali was tasty and had a reasonable price but the breakfast tiffins were not tasty and very costly the even lacked hygiene. The plates used for serving were not washed properly
you can literally see what was eaten previously in the same plate before serving you.
Coming to sweets available...they were of ok quality and no better taste than local sweet houses but the price was once again very high compared to local shops
My final verdict is that you can go there if you don't have great expectations but a heavy purse
Otherwise, its better to avoid it, particularly when a lot of options are available in vijayawada to eat and buy sweets.
