When life gives you a second chance.? What do I do? Grab it with both hands or wait and watch and keep ignoring it every single time?
We always crib about failures in life, but the fact is that we have chose not to take the second chance that life keeps in front of us. I'am a pessimist, ready to take on anything bad or unexpected. Life kept throwing challenges continuously but I chose to take the shorter path ultimately landing me up in a awful situation.
I always wanted to pursue post graduation as it the need of the hour and the first step to enter post graduation was to give the entrance test like CAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT etc. I started preparing for the entrance and side by side practiced hard for group discussions and personal interview. I started my preparations 2-3 months prior the test, and I used to study almost 3-4 hours a day which wasn't sufficient enough. Days passed by and the pressure kept rising, pressure to get admission, pressure to cope up with the standards etc.
The first attempt:
I gave my first attempt during may 2013, and being half prepared my exam would obviously go bad and so did it. I was dejected and lost all my hopes of getting into a good college for post graduation. Results were declared 2 months later and as expected the results were bad. By now I came to know that it was all over for me. Rather then wasting precious years of my life, I would work for some organization and then switch to studies after gaining some experience. But there was something else that was written in my destiny.
Few of my friends encouraged me to reappear but the idea din't seem bright. The next attempt was in June. I made up my mind that I would appear for this exam as I had already filled the form and it was just matter of going and attempting the paper. This time round too I din't give my best but put in a bit more effort than what I had in the first attempt.
The second attempt:
I reappeared in the month of june 2013 and this time round the paper went a bit better and to my surprise I scored well when the results were out. I was so happy and I did quit the plan of settling down in office and preferred studying. I applied in 3 colleges, and got through in all 3 colleges. The best part was that I got in the college that I wanted, as it was one of the most famous and best college in Mumbai.
I never thought that I would get admission after attempting the second time especially after failing badly in the first attempt. Life gave me a second chance and I grabbed it with both hands!
I am sure that life gives everyone a second chance but we are so busy in other things that this second chance does not matter.
