I recently visited Vijay Book House in Uttam Nagar, Delhi and was really disappointed with the experience. The store is quite small and cramped, and it was very hard to navigate around. The shelves were crammed with books and it was difficult to find what I was looking for.
The staff was also quite unhelpful. When I asked for help, they simply pointed to a shelf and said “it should be here somewhere”. Nobody offered to help me find what I was looking for.
The books were also overpriced. I found the same books available at other bookstores at much lower prices. The staff seemed to think they could get away with charging more because they were the only store in the area.
The store was also quite dirty. The floors were dusty and the shelves were covered in cobwebs. The books themselves were in poor condition and seemed to have been there for a long time.
Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience at Vijay Book House. The store is small, unhelpful, overpriced, and dirty. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for books in the area.
