This was my 1st experience with travelguru. I wanted to book a hotel in Chennai where I can stay with my family. I did book one through Travelguru and thought I got a good deal.
Later when I called hotel reception, they said that my booking was not confirmed as no rooms were available. And it seems they have informed Travelguru about this which was never communicated to me. I tried reaching travelguru; every time I was asked by the system to either hold or to send SMS/mail. After trying several times and waiting several mins, I did send them an SMS. There was no call back. I eventually decided to cancel the reservation.
My 1st and probably the last experience was terrible. My suggestion to all of you - Please do call respective hotels before believing that you have a confirmed reservation.
Looks like there are others who were also suffered because of this careless attitude.
