I got my new Indica Vista, quadrajet delivered in 2011 March with 4 tubeless Bridgestone tyres. My car has just done 34, 000 kms & my TATA service adviser recommended that the tyres, particularly the front wheels need immediate replacement.
What is sad is that I have been religiously maintaining these tyres- I get an alignment done every 5000 kms & balancing every 10000 kms. Added to this, I am a very safe driver- I don't over speed, jerk or brake. Yes, Bangalore roads are bad, no doubt, which could have added to the wear out, but a highly acclaimed & hyped product like Bridgestone giving such a pathetic performance is deplorable.
I was confused about the brand that I should opt for to replace these tyres. Based on a lot of advise, I have gone for MRF tubeless radials & replaced all 4 tyres today(hope they give me a better performance).
When I surveyed in the market, I have found that tyre prices are quite high & Bridgestone is even highly priced compared to JK, MRF, Good Year, Apollo & other brands.
People pride that they have a Bridgestone in their cars, but I am a fully disappointed man.
I urge all car owners to be careful & wise when they choose replacements for their cars & SUV's. MNC products do not necessarily mean quality & my experience is a good learning.
Don't waste your hard earned money & always make a very balanced decision.
I have seen car dealers & service centers sing praise about Bridge stone tyres, perhaps they get more margins with this brand which others may not offer, so they push hard.
All in all, Bridgestone car radials was a huge let down. I shall never opt for one again.
