Well I bought Tata Sky few months back due to that IPL fever as Setmax started giving stereo sound, so thought will buy a tata sky and will make my life zinga la la but believe me guys IT SUCKS!

I wont say their transmission quality is bad, but the kind of service they are providing is horrible especially @ 6600 6633 no. Here are some of the points.
- They give a list of local contacts for each state, believe me guys no 080-23623388 nodalofficerkarnataka@tatasky.com, the no is INVALID, I wrote a mail to nodalofficerkarnataka@tatasky.com & help@tatasky.com
Till date no reply.
- If you have a prepaid connection dont even dare to call to their customer care no that is 040 6600 6633, The number is always busy and out of 7-8 attempt you ll be connected once and instead instructions for caller it will start with an ad "This summer .", after sometime there is a ring and then instruction starts, now you press 5 to talk to customer associate, .the ad starts again "This summer".
They dont even guarantee that your call will be entertained in 5/10 minutes, ad goes on and on.so you lose Rs. 30-40 for one call.
This also does not provide complete solution as their customer associates are not trained, they themselves are not aware of the process.
Recharge your connection, if it's deactivated it will take 5-6 hours to get activated again.
While zapping channels(Changing channels), it shows a black screen for substantial amount of time that is annoying.
My experience:
TS has an offer "Refer a friend", doing so you ll get 1 month subscription free, I referred a friend, it took around 8 days(against their 5 days max claim) to get installed @ my friend's house 9845474315, and while booking they told me that after installation my friend has to make a call to TS to give the coupon id to avail that offer.
He has a prepaid mobile, he sent all those details to me to do the same. When I called(duration 38 minutes= Rs 38), they said he has already given the coupon id and his account is activated but the fact is I recharged his ac for Rs 1000 using the vocuher that came alongwith the box, so I have been denied the 1 month subscription.
I confirmed from my friend that he didn't give any details to anyone. Then who gave the details and what was the detail/coupon id?
38 Minutes of discussion with one Senior Supervisor NO RESULT.
FOr every x y z of their mistakes you have to call to that 040 66006633 no and your pocket ll be lighter day by day.
*The problem is due to their packages consumer demand is increasing but their concern for the user is decreasing otherwise alongwith increase customer-base they would have improved their CUSTOMER CARE INFRASTRUCTURE.
* I did not expect this from TATA.
