I was one of the disappointed person having bought this cooler to beat the heat of Chennai.
This cooler was ordered online for my house situated in Chromepet, a southern part of Chennai. My area is a slightly hilly area so during summer terrific heat waves will come.
We thought instead of using air conditioner which consumes lot of electricity, we bought this Air Cooler thinking if we put ice cubes, the air will be cool and pleasant.
First of all, this Cooler consumes lot of Electricity. Second we need to put ice cubes for which the electricity will get consumed by the refrigerator. Third, due to moisture in the evening air of Chennai, this cooler fail to perform.
About the Service and Support is very worst. We had some problem in the cooler and fed up by calling the service center and finally we got it repaired from the local mechanic.
When one of my friend who is doctor came to my house he advised me not to use this type of coolers which will be bad for the health. Normal fan breeze is good or else air conditioner will be of good rather than the air coolers, particularly for the climate of Chennai.
Hence I am not recommending this for the Chennai climate.
