I frequently visit this hospital since last 5-6 years, across various departments. Most of the times the experience has been good, though, the hospital is quite crowded for most of the common facilities, e.g. general OPD, sample collection for lab investigations, XRay, ultrasound, etc.
Yesterday night, I took my wife into hospital's emergency to get examined and investigated for a pregnancy related concern. The doctor on duty advised to go for an ultrasound, and we happily accepted that suggestion. The doctor who conducted the ultrasound confirmed that everything was fine, and we were quite satisfied till that stage. However, when we again came back to Emergency to meet the referring doctor, she advised to go for another ultrasound, which sounded pretty weird to us.
However, we went ahead with that well. It was the same doctor in radiology who conducted the 2nd scan. This experience forced us to think that they either did not do their job properly the first time, or they are trying to learn things on our cost, for which we didn't get any additional value. This experience was really strange, and that too from St. John's hospital.
I hope St. Johns hospital gets this feedback and constructively acts on it in order to preserve the image it has built so far.
