Hey friends I recently had been to sinhagad fort on 31st of december 2017.It's a very nice place to visit near pune.
It is actually some 30 kms away from the heart of pune city but you can easily be there by your own bike, car or any other mode of transportation.To get onto the main fort one has to travel through the ghats near about 10 Km.The ghat there has very bad roads which haven't been maintained by the local authorities.Also the ghat is damn risky to ride as it has some turnings which can lead to fatal accidents.
The Sightseeing here is quiet enjoyful you can enjoy the natural beauty from here.From the elevation one can have the rich experience of sunrise & sunset.Also it has many points of historical importance inside the fort.One can also climb the mountain by trekking so it's a good place for people who love trekking.
unfortunately there are no hotels or accommodation places available in the fort area.One has to look for accommodation in the nearby cities.One thing I noticed on the fort was that people charge for products double than the MRP, I wish that government authorities should take strict action against such people who are resorting to such kind of malpractices.There is also a major problem of parking in the fort area.The parking space provided is very small so people park on the ghat roads which results in traffic jams on the ghats.
Safety is a major factor that has been taken into concern by the people who are taking care of the fort.They have set up barricades wherever necessary & have also taken into consideration another safety factors.
So lastly I recommend if you people are near from pune city then you must visit this place one time.
