Asia boasts of many wonderfully dressed cities and countries. Each one is famous and known for its special qualities.
But Singapore is one such country which has all the qualities which makes a country great by all measures. Considered as one-city country, in fact, there many islands also like, Tekong, Tekong Kechel, Sentosa, Palau-ubin and Jurong nearby the main city. Inhabited mainly by Singaporeans, Christians, Indians and Chinese people it’s a marvellous country.
Roads are neat and clean. People are tidy. No make-shift shops on the foot paths. Not even a single useless paper. No bicycle, scooter, three wheeler in the country. Public transportation is by air-conditioned buses. Education is three tiers, Primary, Secondary and Pre University. During my three days stay, I didn’t come across a single police personal.
Astonished. I asked the hotel manager out of curiosity why no police. She jokingly asked if I wanna see police, I may throw a piece of paper on the road and you, not only will see the police but will have shed some Singaporeans$s also as penalty. I gave ground, thanking my stars. Marina Bay Sands hotel is worth seeing and that to with S$20 only.
On the top 55th floor is the swimming pool on a boat shaped roof supported by three huge pillars which house rooms for the tourists. Must see. From top you have a faded glance of Indonesian city of Batam . A ferry can take you from Harbour Front Singapore to Batam, Indonesia in about two hours. Visa worth US$ 10 is on arrival for seven days stay. The next fantastic place is Sentosa. Dance of Dolphins is a feast for the eyes. Underwater circularly moving tunnel tour is a life time experience. A Hindi film song ‘Dekhoji dekho Jeewan main ek baar ana Singapore” (Singapore of 1960) composed as far back as in 1960 is a proof of Singaporeans love for their country.
