Saurav is a player who can play the ball any where in the off side. He played a superb knock against pakistan.In the 1997 Saurav Ganguly & Sachin are the opening player for india. Saurav played a excellent innings in world cup 1999. He took 183 runs against sri lanka. so that only India achevied a very big target. As captain he directs the team and took the team to the world cup final. For every players age is a very big dis-advantage.
Even Robin singh played superbly at the age of 37, but still the selectors didnt saw his performance because of his age, like that how its saurav who is been pointed out by the selectors. The selectors should not see the age, they should see the performance & experience. Mainly the politics which is playing in the indian cricket. Ganguly played somany brillient knocks. When he was put out from the team for nearly 1 year & he came back strongly & played some brilliant knocks. But still he was thrown out by the selectors. In this itself we can clearly understand that politices is there in indian cricket. Now Saurav decided to put an end to the career after the test match against Australia.
Saurav has played 450 matches (ODI & Test) & he has got many experience in the international cricket. He is a winning captain for india. He has captanised india so well, because of that only in the world cup 2003 india went into the finals. He is the most successful captain for india. He can play for 1 or 2 years, but the seletors or the politices which will not allow him to play. He is a very succesful openner for india. He has played so many brillient knocks. He & sachin played so many innings as a openner. They are the best pair for the indian cricket. He is a legend for india. He has a place in the indian team which no one can take. He is a roll mobel for the current players in the indian cricket.
