This place is located in the northern bank of the Mighty Brahmaputra river and is a must visit place when you are in the historical Kamrup district. The place is built to tribute to ahom war heroes who fought heroically and gave there lives to save the motherland from the mughal foreigners. Mughal tried to invade 18 times the golded assam, but failed because of the heroes of ahom kingdom.
This was the place where 10, 000 soldiers gave there lives in the war with the mighty mughal, Ahom won the war but liability of war was huge. The place has a scenic view of the saraighat bridge and the river brahmaputra and has huge sculptures of the ahom war heroes in battle posture. It is a very nice place to spend the evening and relax after a wonderful tour of kamrup.
