We are very much disappointed with the service that we've received from Saraf Furniture.
The assembly guy came and when assembling the dining table we ordered, there was a good noticeable crack on the top surface of it.
However, he was trying his level best to convince us to repair and keep it.
The next thing was our call with Mr. Raghunandan, who was utterly rude, disrespectful and was at the highest pitch of his voice while talking to us. He was in no way willing to listen to what we were saying, which is definitely not acceptable.
When you say that you give lifetime warranty and behave like this even before the packing is opened, what more can be expected from you.
Also, while we went to Saraf Furniture shop in Brigade road(Bangalore) and came back home at night, it was Mr. Raghunandan who called at 10pm at night to convince us to buy the piece of furniture.
However, when I have called him to talk about the assembly and the issues, he didn't pick up the phone after 6/7 repeated attempts.
But when I called him from a different number, he answered the call on the first try itself.
Now, coming to the issues with the dining table:
· The top base of the table had a good crack
· The side portion had putty and paint both worn out
· 4 out of 6 chairs didn’t had balance
· Big gaps between the leg of the dining table and the body of the dining table
Forceful repairing(By Raghunandan and the carpenter) done as mentioned below:
· Nail put into the brand new dining table to stick the broken portion to the main table.
· Some kind of material was put between the leg and body of the table to fill the gaps
· That same material was put again in the cracked piece to hide it and then burnish was done
· To balance the chair, hard paper was put along with the bush on the chair legs.
Now, please tell me if this is what is expected when you buy furniture from such a reputed Furniture Merchant.
